In 2014 the Markthal was developed. A gigantic building combining food and housing harmoniously. A world first. The Markthal is the first covered market in the Netherlands, but what makes it really unique is the housing the spectacular arch. The design is by MVRDV, a rewarded firm from Rotterdam commissioned by Provast.
Within the structure itself, the Markthal holds 228 apartments in total. Riva manages several of those apartments on behalf of the landlords. Riva rents them out to Expats and Dutch tenants. These are all our current listings of Market Hall apartments.
Every apartment has a view towards either the River Maas or the Laurenskerk, and into the market hall. The living room and bedrooms are situated on the outside to have daylight. While the kitchens, dining rooms and storage are positioned on the market side, from those rooms you have a spectacular view on the market floor through windows or a glass floor (sound- and smell-proof triple glazing). Every home has a balcony and parking units.
